These may be manual, semi-automatic or full-automatic systems, and may use ion exchange, traditional chemical precipitation, filtration, RO, clarifiers, DAF, ultra-filtration, vacuum distillation and evaporators. Instead of hauling off huge volumes of hazardous wastewater, processed water is returned to the plant and a small volume of concentrated waste is evaporated or hauled from the plant.
