Treat Acid waste safely with
LabDELTA EXTREME™

|
Wastech's popular
LabDELTA™ series
of laboratory waste treatment systems has been augmented with a new
compact package for extreme acid applications. When laboratory waste
includes concentrated acid, strong acid or super acids with a pH
between 0 and 2, this special design is required to manage heat and
assure safety for technicians.
Wastech's new
LabDELTA EXTREME™ design
includes a collection tank and a transfer pump to safely and slowly
inject the acid waste into the reaction chamber. Automated controls
are provided by a PLC and special packaged software by Wastech. An
integral discharge pump transfers the treated waste to the sink or
sewer. |

These are normally smaller, totally enclosed systems, and standard models are available for 2, 4 or 6 gallon batches. A waste fitting is accessed through the bolted cover. The discharge and water inlet lines are easily accessible. Installation does not require a contractor or electrician. Installation is easy with threaded fittings and 110V, single phase power provided by a 6-foot electrical power cord. The chemical supply, usually caustic soda (50% NaOH), is filled from the front without removing the cover. A remote control panel is available as an option. This units will fit under the sink in existing lab cabinets or casework. For installations where an under-the-sink installation is not possible, Wastech now offers the new LabDELTA WASTE RECEIVER. This is a new countertop waste station that becomes a receiving station for acid waste, which it feeds directly to the treatment system using PVDF piping. The Wastech LabDELTA EXTREME solution improves laboratory safety and makes automated laboratory waste treatment a reality even for the strongest acids. |
