In January, we welcomed our new Vice
President of Engineering, Kevin Holm, who will handle our
engineering and project management departments. Kevin comes from Jacobs
Engineering after a two-year assignment in the Philippines as the
project manager for a new semiconductor facility. He brings 25 years
of experience handling complex engineering assignments as a project
engineer, design engineer, and project manager. He has worked for
different industries, including Chevron, Kodak,
Kimberly Clark and Cypress Semiconductor. He is experienced in
manufacturing, chemical processing, waste treatment, cogeneration,
and construction.
We also welcomed three new
engineers: Hessam Vakil, a process engineer: Kent Smedley, a
chemical engineer; and Dan Necsulescu, a mechanical engineer.
We passed our CSIA
Certification audit, becoming the only CSIA certified
automation integrator in Southern California. The Control System Integrator Association
(CSIA) has 140 member companies, but of these only 75 are
certified to demanding standards for project execution and
technical management in the control and software industry. By
passing this audit, similar to an ISO audit, Wastech now joins this limited group of
companies. Check out
www.controlsys.org for more
information. Also look for our listing in the Automation Integrator
Guide 2006 from Control Engineering Magazine.
