Wastech Engineering specializes in pH neutralization packages, pH adjustment, acid waste neutralization (AWN), and acid handling systems. While traditional neutralization consists of passive limestone treatment or manual pH adjustment using litmus paper, EPA and local regulations now demand active neutralization, records, and more accurate pH measurement. Our team of chemical engineers will custom design a solution for you and help you select a neutralizing chemical for use in our standard packages. Our experience will assure that your process is safe and reliable, whether it is a small laboratory system or a 500 GPM continuous neutralization system.

Strong acid neutralization of pure acid between 0-2 pHi s a specialty of Wastech Engineering. Custom enclosures, double containment, temperature monitoring and alarms, PTFE heat exchangers, bulk chemical handling for IBCs and drums, and special controls are available for these demanding applications.
 

Our LabDELTA™ small-volume, automated systems solve laboratory waste treatment problems. Complete packages are available in either 2, 4 or 6 gallon batch designs, or 1, 2 or 3 gpm continuous designs. Included are controls and communication options for alarm reporting.

A new chemical blend named PELLU™ works so well for heavy metal removal from waste water that it seems impossible. Certified lab reports show faster reaction times, removal of 21 identified heavy metals in one pass, and reduced sludge volumes. The metals include copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn, chrome (Cr), and cadmium (Cd). Complicated treatment routines with multiple chemicals are eliminated. Wastes can be mixed, with no need to separate waste streams. A bonus is the elimination of the common sulfur smell generated by other processes.

The patent-pending PELLU™ process, now available from Wastech, reduces treatment costs, meets or betters discharge limits, and lowers the risk of discharge violations. With more predictable treatment results, automation becomes possible, and company boards of directors can view the waste treatment process with confidence. Wastech Engineering offers a complete line of pump lift stations for chemical waste and chemical dispensing of aggressive chemicals from acids (including Nitric and HF) to solvents in the laboratory or plant. Wastech chemical engineers have the experience to automate tank monitoring, mixing and batching or dispensing and injection with redundant controls, secondary containment and appropriate pumping solutions.

Wastech fabricates pump control panels and pump enclosures in metal or plastic where a totally enclosed package is required. Wastech technicians are expert fabricators of custom tanks, pump enclosures and piping systems in all thermoplastics from PVDF and TEFLON to PVC.
 

Automated Industrial Waste Treatment

Wastech Engineering manufactures complete waste treatment systems designed to be operated by non-engineering operators. Displays have graphical interfaces with alarm reporting by email alerts, beeper or cell phone, or local indication. Data logging is offered using various means from strip chart or circular paper recorders to data loggers, PLC software or IP internet access. Our systems are skid mounted (if size allows), our controls are easy to use and understand, and many of our processes are fully automated. Whether water recycling, waste water separation, heavy metal removal, pH neutralization, or simple monitoring, Wastech has a solution.

Wastech also offers standard panels for pH monitoring, pH recording and simple instrument mounting. Wastech has standard panels for conductivity, DO, dechlorination or any analytical measurement.
